Nicky Stimpson
Nicky Stimpson’s athletic background began in the water, where she competed as a four-year collegiate rower and swimmer at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. It was there that she developed a deep connection to rowing—one that quickly evolved into a long-term commitment to coaching and athlete development.
Following her collegiate career, Nicky moved directly into coaching, building over a decade of experience at the collegiate and high school levels. She served as the Women’s Assistant Rowing Coach at Wesleyan University before spending 11 years at the United States Naval Academy, where she played a key role in developing high-performing athletes within a structured, competitive environment. She later led programs as Director of Rowing at The Gunston School, continuing to shape athletes through disciplined training and technical coaching.
In 2013, Nicky was introduced to stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), adding a new dimension to her athletic and competitive pursuits. What began as a personal challenge quickly turned into a serious commitment, and she became a consistent presence in the Annapolis SUP racing community. In 2021, she became the first woman to paddle the full length of the Chesapeake Bay on a stand-up paddleboard as part of Bay Paddle—an achievement that reflects her resilience, endurance, and mindset as an athlete.
Nicky’s coaching at REPS is driven by both her high-level experience and her passion for helping individuals train with purpose. She works with athletes across all stages, bringing structure, consistency, and a deep understanding of performance development. As an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and a graduate of Stacy Sims’ Menopause 2.0 course, she also offers specialized insight for women navigating training through peri- and post-menopause—ensuring her coaching is both informed and individualized.

Start with the Athlete Assessment
Every athlete who trains at REPS begins with an Athlete Assessment.
This evaluation helps determine the right starting point and ensures training aligns with the athlete’s goals, sport demands, and current capacity.
From there, athletes begin training within the REPS environment.
